And maybe this young lady. She is Raelin the Guide, the only semi-magical character in Eire. Well, the magical aspect is actually that lantern. I created her as a way to get out of tight spots without resorting to full out massacres. Even though many of my characters are masters with their weapons, I prefer them not killing of all the extras. After all I do work hard on them too =)

The lantern helps her to find even the slightest crack and to go through them. She can also take others with her, and travel long distances in two steps. That way she can appear just about anywhere in any time she chooses to do so.

The markings under her eyes are a remnant of her childhood and the "good old days". They served to protect children from all harm. The custom was never wide spread and didn't really work. That's superstition for you.

She’s cool. And I like that you have her around to get people out of tight spots...Though it’s a delicate balance I think; you don’t want to make your other characters seem incompetent and/or way too reliant on her. You did an awesome job with this pic. *First comment dance*

She’s beautiful, though her eye’s seem filmy, like she might have cataracts. Is she blind? That would make it ironic to have a magic lantern...

Beautiful! You did well on the pose and I also like the color composition. What I don’t like - but that’s a matter of personal taste - is the way you used your color pencils. I prefer a more homogenous colouring where you don’t see the lines. The "make-up" is also nice.

:-) Anitta Hiekkanen replies: "Normally I would agree with you on the coloring, but this time I wanted to have some texture on her clothes. She definitely isn’t wearing silk 1 That aside, thank you for your input. Like you said, art is a matter of personal taste 2"

Love the proportion/perspective/posing (yay, alliteration!) on this... Can never get that right when I try to design characters. Also, the coloring is awesome.
